Highlights from our “Tales, Dolls & Tours” exhibition in Ptuj
Oljana Karpus took us on a creative journey into the heart of Ukrainian tradition, guiding us in crafting motanka dolls – symbols of protection, heritage, and creativity.
Step by step, we shaped these unique dolls, each holding a piece of history and culture. More than just a craft, the motanka embodies a centuries-old tradition passed down through generations.
As an art therapist from Ukraine and a member of SZUT (Slovenian Association of Art Therapists), Oljana uses creativity as a bridge between past and present, between people and cultures. Through this workshop, she reminded us how handmade traditions keep identities alive and bring us closer together.
This event is a part of Inclusion in Actions program, which is a part of THE:PLACE program. It is jointly managed by ALDA – European Association for Local Democracy and Mekanda Adalet Derneği.
