On February 20th, we organized a special event that brought together creativity, interculturalism, and storytelling.
The first part of the event was a workshop led by Oljana Karpus. She introduced us to the traditional motanka doll from Ukraine and guided us step by step through the process of creating them.
The second part of the event featured the opening of the "Tales, Dolls & Tours" exhibition, co-created by Samar Zughool, Svitlana Kuz, Oljana Karpus, Olga Senatorova Tišler, Inna Shvec, Nataliya Akulova, Etaf Abdelrahman, and Urban Jurij Kozel.
This powerful exhibition showcased the final artworks, reflecting the journey of storytelling and artistic expression. It demonstrated how stories and creativity bring people and places together in meaningful ways.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at MDC Mavrica! It was truly inspiring to see how art connects us all.
This event marked the final stop of the creative journey "Tales, Dolls & Tours", guided by Samar Zughool, Svitlana Kuz, and Oljana Karpus.
Tales, Dolls & Tours is part of the Inclusion in Actions programme, which is a part of THE:PLACE programme. It is jointly managed by ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy and Mekanda Adalet Derneği (MAD) and funded by Stiftung Mercator.
