We hosted a study visit of "Inclusion in Actions" in Ptuj, Maribor and Ljubljana via the "THE:PLACE programme" which is jointly managed by ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy and MAD - Mekanda Adalet Derneği and funded by Stiftung Mercator.

Our guests and partners were the team of youth workers from Pi Youth association (Pi Gençlik Derneği) in Izmir, Türkiye and staff municipality from Konak city in Izmir.

On the first day we visited the governmental office for integration and migration in Slovenia, and the Center Rog.

The aim of the study is to navigate and exchange good practices and learned lessons between Izmir, Türkiye and Slovenia in the fields of migration, intercultural dialogue and integration.

In the next steps we will start our local implementation.

Povod will be running local workshops using arts for intercultural policy advocacy while PI Youth Association will be hosting youth work workshops for intercultural dialogue.

We enjoyed the process of sharing practical accessible learning resources about integration, migration and intercultural policy advocacy in Slovenia and Türkiye.

On the second day we discussed the mechanisms of intercultural policies focusing on youth work, gender mainstreaming, and intercultural policy advocacy with the municipality of Ptuj, and afterwards we visited the youth centre and the Mavrica venue in the city of Ptuj.

Afterwards, we went to Maribor, where we hosted the second part of the study visit at the Roma Youth Centre and EPEKA, where we discussed and exchanged hands-on practises on youth work, gender mainstreaming, and social inclusion in our citities.
