Anna Lindh Foundation, The national network in Slovenia, held a virtual Conference on gender mainstreaming and LGBTQ+ activism to build inclusive societies in the Euro-Med region.What are the needs? What are the challenges? What are the good practices and/or recommendations?

Guest speakers:
City of Women /Slovenia: Tea Hvala has a BA in comparative literature and sociology of culture and an MA in gender anthropology. She is a freelance writer, editor, translator, and art critic. Since 2018, she has been coordinating the arts education program and the library of City of Women – Association for the Promotion of Women in Culture (Ljubljana, Slovenia).
LGBT+ in Arabic/International network/Germany: Mahdi Ghuloom has a background in Economics and Politics, and a master’s in Policy Analytics. He is an early-stage researcher and analyst and volunteers with LGBT+ Arabic as a writer/translator and social media assistant.
Interhuman Solidarity/Poland: Magdalena Klimek, coming from Poland, is a student of intercultural relations, a graduate of BA in Mediterranean cultural studies, and an MA in communication management. For the last two years, she has been working for international cooperations in the non-governmental sector as a volunteer and social entrepreneur. For the last nine years, she has been participating in various international scholarships and mobilities to find new perspectives for social change. She initiated the idea of the social enterprise Interhuman Solidarity that focuses on educating and promoting values such as empathy, tolerance, and understanding in fair societies.
Institute Povod/Slovenia: Samar Zughool, intercultural trainer and researcher, has a Master’s degree in political science. Her recent researches are on the gender-responsive implementation of Agenda 2030.
